Marilyn Garber is the founder of The Minnesota School of Botanical Art and the co-founder of the Como Conservatory Botanical Certification Program. Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Horticultural Society in London, and at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama City, Panama. Tim Voigts is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator who has worked in the Twin Cities for the last fifteen years. He received his degree in fine art at the University of Iowa. Julie Martinez is a free lance scientific illustrator specializing in the areas of natural history and medical illustration. She received her degree in fine art and biology at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. Julie has illustrated elementary and college level science textbooks and nature guides. Karen Bell-Brugger has her BA in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota where she focused on sculpture and jewelry. Mary Anne O'Malley studied oil painting for many years under Michael Coyle within the Atelier system. Her work in landscapes and botanical fabrications for museums and visitor centers throughout the United States has furthered her interest and knowledge of the environment. Mary Ann has exhibited her botanical work at the New York Horticulture show and the American Society of Botanical Artists exhibits at Fioli Gardens, San Francisco and Flinn Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut. | Dr. Robert Bergad holds degrees in botany from the West Virginia University and the University of Minnesota. His dissertation involved detailed morphological studies of fossil pollen and spores and their biological and geological applications. Since 1977 he has taught a variety of botany and biology courses throughout the Twin Cities, and he regularly leads botanical identification and plant use field trips. | |

Bruce Wilson comes from a fine art and commercial background, receiving his BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He has been the Director of Photography for the prestigious Robert Redford Sundance Institute, and currently the Moonstone International Screen Labs, Great Britain/Ireland.
